What is Acne?
It starts is the sebaceous glands located within the hair follicles. These glands produce Oil. But at times they produce excessive oil and can cause a blockage, and along with Dead skin cells you will create bacteria to thrive in. It is possible for the blockage to bulge which causes white heads. Or if the blockage remains open near the surface and becomes dark this is known as a black head.
Anyone can have Acne at any age.
Acne is a common skin disorder affecting both genders all-ethnic groups, but mainly effects adolescents and young adults. There is also adult acne, which is more common in females, and sometimes can be influenced by hormones.
You don’t have to live with Acne.
